If you haven’t caught the weekly gear review vlog from OM editor Will Renwick yet, you’ve come to the right place because we’ve gathered together every episode below for you to browse over. Watch one, watch two, watch them all. We don’t mind (we do though – go watch them all). The series is called Will’s World, and we’ll be dropping an episode promptly at 12pm every Friday for your perusal.
The aim is to bring you the latest gear releases and Will’s quick verdict on them ASAP, because we know that when it comes to buying outdoor gear, especially online, it really does help to get a proper look at it first.
Here’s what’s gone down so far…
Episode 1: A Welcome From Will
Just a ‘hello’ from Will, and an introduction to himself and what he’ll be aiming to bring viewers each week.
Episode 2: A Guide to Mountaineeing Boots
We’ve launched a big guide to the best mountaineering boots up on our outdoorsmagic.com, so to complement that Will’s given a run through of what you actually need to be looking for when buying them, untangling all those B1 C3 ratings.
Episode 3: Casio Protrek WSD F30 Review
A brand new version of the Casio Protrek dropped onto the market in January, and Will was one of the first people to get his hands on one, taking it on a trip up Helvellyn in the Lake District.
Episode 4: Lifesaver Liberty Review
We’ve seen plenty of portable water filters in our time but none quite like this one from Lifesaver, a product with plenty of nifty little tricks to it.
Episode 5: Inov-8 Roclite 345
We’ve been massively impressed with the trail running shoes Inov-8 have launched in recent years that feature graphene (‘the world’s strongest material’) infused in the sole. Now, they’ve taken that tech to their hiking boot range, and it could be a real gamechanger. In this episode, Will gives his thoughts on its construction.
