Sea To Summit Comfort Plus Mat | Review

Dual-layer construction makes the Sea to Summit Comfort mat hard to beat

As adventurers, we love to tell people we prefer the rough, primal, feel of the outdoor world to the cities. We often revel in telling anyone who’ll listen how happy we’d be to shun the comforts of modern living in exchange for a secluded spot in the wilderness. But even the most hardcore camping purists would find it difficult to turn their noses up at the luxurious Comfort Plus Mat from Sea To Summit.

With its dual layer construction, this sleeping mat can outdo the level of comfort offered by pretty much every single air mattress available on the market. Excellent support and body weight distribution are just two of the benefits provided by the two independent high-resolution cell layers.

“The two layers can be pressured independently, so you can inflate the top layer to suit personal comfort while maintaining a high-pressure base for added protection.”

Because the two layers can be pressured independently, users of the Comfort Plus are able to inflate the top layer to suit personal comfort while maintaining a high-pressure base for some much needed protection from craggy terrain. Layers can be adjusted quickly and easily, with the fine tune valve, ensuring the needs of the sleeper are satisfied without delay.

This mat, like all other Sea To Summit sleeping mats, comes with an excellent stuff sack, a repair kit with six self-adhesive patches for repairing punctures when you’re out and about, and a spare silicone one-way valve flap (just incase some foul fate should befall your original silicone one-way valve flap). Another reason this product is an absolute winner is the fact its independent chambers allow the mattress to still function even when one of the layers has a hole in it.

The Comfort Plus will make that sore back you used to get after a restless night’s camping a distant memory. It’s an ingenious, award-winning, gateway to the best night of outdoor sleeping you’ll ever have. So good is it, in fact, you’ll wonder how you ever slept without it.
