It all started with a Swedish carpenter. Wiktor Haglof did not enjoy spending time outdoors. It was a struggle for him, fighting to get to school or working outdoors while being battered by the harsh elements. 100 years ago, the outdoor world wasn’t necessarily the pleasurable place we dip in and out of today - at least for Wiktor.
He wanted to make outdoor clothing that made this hard work a little bit easier, so he founded Haglofs. The outdoor gear he began producing was not only reliable but constantly being evolved and improved. Over the years, this is an ethos that has stuck with Haglofs. Everything they make has a purpose. Only the highest crafted products make the cut. So you know when you see the label Haglofs that it’s an item that will last you for years.
The beauty of Haglofs is you don’t have to be climbing 6,000m peaks to wear their clothing. Whether you are cycling to work or walking the dog on the beach, Haglofs will keep you cool, dry and comfortable.
“They’re designed for any warm weather activity - whether that’s hiking, cycling or climbing."
The Lizard II shorts are designed for any warm weather activity - whether that’s hiking, cycling or climbing. The number one problem with outdoor shorts is tearing the crotch. If you are scrambling over large boulders or trad climbing, you want to know that your pants aren’t going to rip down the middle when you’re really going for it. The Lizard II are designed with this in mind. They are hardy and durable with a reinforced gusseted crotch. Inside, the crotch seam is off-centre and carefully sewn internally to avoid uncomfortable chafing.
Outside the FlexAble fabric does exactly what it says on the tin. These shorts are soft and flexible enough to easily move around in. They are also wind and water-resistant, coated with a durable water-repellent layer that will push beads of water off the surface if you are caught in a rain shower. The Lizard II shorts are specifically designed for women with a flattering slim cut. They come in two colourways - grey with turquoise trim or purple.
Haglofs Trekkings are fast becoming a staple in our wardrobe. They are versatile and stylish without compromising technical quality. You could wear them to climb Ben Nevis, walk the dog on a wild, windy day or even just down to the pub with a regular woollen jumper and no one would know notice that they are a pair of trekking trousers. You’ll be the one laughing when everyone else turns up in soaking wet jeans and your legs are bone dry.
