The latest in Rab’s excellent Commitment series of videos is a low-key look at Rab-sponsored athlete Greg Boswell and what drives him to train and climb.
Boswell, burst onto the Scottish winter climbing scene aged just 17 when he became the youngest person in history to climb the Scottish classic ‘Fast and Furious’ (D10+). At at point he’d only been climbing for four years and in other realities was Scottish Junior Wake Boarding Champion.
He’s now one of Britain’s top winter climbers thanks partly to a dedicated training regime that keeps him in top physical shape even when he’s not in the mountains. Hi focus in recent years has seen him make numerous multiple grade X onsights and eventually the world’s first XII, Banana Wall.
Outside of traditional winter climbing, he’s made the first ascents of Britain’s only two M13 routes and climb numerous hard trad and sport routes at home and abroad. He’s already climbed in the Alps and Canadian Rockies as well.
Impressive stuff and a nice training wall too…
