It’s been some time since our last Free Kit Friday. We’ve been busy out in the Norwegian Fjordland testing some of the best equipment on the market for this year’s Outdoor 100, so excuse our absence.
We’ve got a lifesaving Free Kit Friday this week to make up for our absence. Lifesaver have provided the goods to keep you drinking safe water whilst you’re out and about in the wild.
The Liberty is the world’s first and only portable water purifier that is both a water bottle and an inline pump. This inline pump is able to remove 99.99 percent of viruses and bacteria from any water source.
OM editor Will took out the Liberty to weigh up its pros and cons during episode four of Will’s World:
“The combination of filter and bottle into one system means you can fill it up with clean H2o before leaving for the day and drink away as normal, and when you’ve finished, you won’t have to carry an empty bottle around for the rest of the trip. Instead you can just refill it at absolutely any water source.”
“To filter, you simply unscrew the top, dip it into the source, close it up and then pump the top lever a few times. Then to drink, you just flick a little valve and the water flows out in a gentle spray – so there’s no sucking involved.”
“There’s also an added 5ft hose accessory which can be dropped into a source to remove and filter as much water as is required, so you can essentially filter big quantities in one go.”
To win one of of these, just ‘like’ the competition post on our Instagram page (as seen below) and make sure you’re following us as well.
