The North Face
has opened its latest flagship
store in the UK, this time in Scotland‘s largest city, Glasgow.
The new store opened its doors to the public on January 29 and like the
brand’s other flagship stores, stocks the entire The North Face UK
range in one single-brand shop. And like the other stores, it’s located
in a popular city centre shopping location.
The new shop is in Buchanan Street, where, says Patrik Frisk,
VP/General Manager of The North Face® EMEA (Europe, Middle East
and Africa) “The colorful Victorian architecture of the
district, combined with the city’s innovative urban planning
harmonize well with a boundary-pushing brand like The North
Face®.”
The building itself sports arched windows and a historic stone fascade
and inside features TNF’s updated retail design. Because it’s been
launched between winter and spring summer seasons, currently it’s
stocking items both from the autumn/winter 2008 and spring/ summer 2009
ranges.
It’s great news for any fans of walking in Glasgow/hiking in Glasgow and indeed those heading to the UK for hiking in Scotland. And yes, that does appear to be a piper in North Face down jacket in the bottom right of the picture…
