Competition closes 25/5/26

1. This prize is open to the winner of the Active Traveller competition which will be run from 23/2/26 to 25/5/26. The winner will be contacted by email and must be 18 years or over and live in the UK or Ireland.
2. To enter the Competition, participants must correctly fill in the competition entry form at https://www.active-traveller.com/competitions/win-a-short-break-in-malta or https://outdoorsmagic.com/article/win-a-holiday-to-malta-competition/ and provide all information requested.
3. Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries from Active Traveller and our sister site, Outdoors Magic will be pooled.
4. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entry, or to award any prize to anyone that is believed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
6. Employees of Active Traveller and VisitMalta are ineligible from entering the Competition.
7. The winner (subject to eligibility) will be selected at random by using a randomiser tool. Should the winner not meet the Eligibility Criteria then their winner status and entitlement will become void and another winner will be chosen. The decision of the Promoter as to the winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Visit Malta UK will support and provide one prize, consisting of two return tickets in economy from UK or Ireland to Malta for a value up to £250.00 or Euros equivalent per return ticket including taxes, baggage allowance and other costs.
9. Visit Malta UK will also supply a hotel stay for 3 nights with breakfast included in a 4 star hotel. The winner cannot choose a hotel, this is decided by Visit Malta UK
10. Visit Malta UK will provide return Airport transfers in Malta from Airport to residing hotel and the return trip from residing hotel to Malta Airport
11. Visit Malta will provide a rolling geeks booking during the stay of the guests whilst in Malta – date to be agreed once booking is completed. Driving license will be required and all terms and conditions of booking will be provided by The Rolling Geeks
12. The flights are subject to availability. A six-week booking notice in advance is required.
13. The prize must be redeemed and used by 20th March 2027. Blackout dates apply: 1/7/26 – 4/9/26.
14. Maximum baggage allowance is: One hold luggage of 20kg per person and one hand luggage (kindly see the airline’s website for hand luggage acceptable dimensions). Any sports equipment and/or extra baggage are to be purchased directly from the airline’s website.
15. All other costs including airline transfers (in the UK), travel insurance, personal expenditure and other incidental expenses are not part of the prize.
16. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure they have a valid passport and obtain any necessary visas and vaccinations for their trip. (https://www.visitmalta.com/en/traveller-info/)
17. All elements of the prize are subject to availability and are non-transferable. There are no cash alternatives. The winner must be one of the person/s travelling.
18. Once flight arrangements are booked, you will be sent details of the booking. It will not be possible thereafter to amend any dates or details.
19. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attached to the promoter as a result thereof.
20. Visit Malta reserves the right to withdraw any prize should it later be found out the terms and conditions were not adhered to. Airline T&Cs also applicable.
21. Visit Malta accept no responsibility if flights are cancelled or changed after the booking is made due to reasons beyond its control. Winners are always advised to check online the timings of the departure and arrivals of the flights they will be travelling on.
22. The winner is responsible for ensuring they have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
23. We reserve the right to withhold or withdraw the Prize if, in our sole discretion, it appears that a person claiming it does not fully meet the Eligibility Criteria, if a Purchase is cancelled or invalidated prior to the Closing Date, or we deem the Purchase to have been made fraudulently, invalidly or using automated means. We reserve the right to require reasonable proof of identity and eligibility from any person claiming a Prize.
24. Any additional costs which may be incurred by this Prize Draw in the context of participation, such as internet costs and other additional services are not included in the Prize Draw and must be paid by you separately.
25. No alternative reward will be provided in whole or in part for the Prize, except that in the event of circumstances outside of our control we reserve the right to substitute similar rewards of equal value. The Prize is subject to promotional availability and is not transferable.
26. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept any responsibility or liability under or in connection with this Prize Draw and/or these Terms and 27. Conditions (including without limitation as a result of technical fault, computer or electronic malfunction, or incomplete, illegible, late, lost or fraudulent entries). Any statutory rights you have are not affected.
Insofar as permitted by law, we will not be responsible or liable to compensate you, or accept any liability, for any personal loss, expense or damage in connection with this Prize Draw or accepting or using the Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
28. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel, modify this Prize Draw and/or these Terms and Conditions, at any time before you have accepted it/them, including but not limited to terminating or withdrawing the Prize at any time.
29. If any paragraph in these Terms and Conditions is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the other paragraphs of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
30. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. The Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with these Terms and Conditions.

The winner will be chosen at random. The judge’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. Once notified (via the email address supplied at point of entry), the winner will have 3 days (72 hours) to reply with acceptance of their prize.

Should the selected winner not reply within 3 days of being notified, then it will be deemed that the prize winner has forfeited their prize, and a re-draw will take place. Same rules will apply for the re-drawn winner (should this scenario occur). There are no exceptions to this. E-mails entering spam boxes, not being checked, being changed or any other reasons included. The publisher’s decision is final.

For travel prizes black out dates will apply and all prizes are subject to availability and timings are at the prize giving companies discretion.

Employees of participating companies are not permitted to enter.
