News | KEEN Are Giving Away 100,000 Pairs Of Shoes

The outdoor shoe specialists have made a gesture to help those who might be struggling

Is there someone you know who you feel could use some support during these difficult times? If so, here’s your chance to give them a bit of a morale booster.

Footwear brand Keen have announced that they’ve got 100,000 pairs of shoes on standby, ready to send to nominations from the public.

They’re asking people to put forward a person who might be particularly stressed at this time, whether that’s an NHS worker, someone in social care, or perhaps someone who is experiencing financial hardship who might be helped, maybe even in just a small way, by a simple, kind gesture.

“We understand shoes may not be a priority for some,” write Keen on their website, “but making shoes that help people get outside and get the job done is what we do best – it’s the unique skill we bring to the world. During times like these, we all need to share our strengths, and we believe working together we can make a positive impact.”

To nominate a family member, friend or colleague, simply click this link and Keen say they’ll reach out to them to arrange to provide them with a new pair of shoes at no cost.

The National Trust are another company who’ve made an offer to help those who might be struggling. While the current government guidelines remain in place, they’ll be opening up their parks and gardens to the public for free. You can read more on that here.
