According to Wikipedia, there are a total of 59 towns, villages or cities in the United States of America named Greenwood. There are seven in Canada too, and even a couple in Australia.
We’ve never actually been anywhere called Greenwood, but we’re sure that they’re all very nice. Not quite as nice, mind you, as the only walking boot which shares the same name. This is the Asolo Greenwood, and it is a hell of a release from the Italian footwear experts.
There are certain things you need from a good pair of walking boots when hiking over mountain terrain. You need them to be waterproof. You need them to be durable. You need them to be incredibly resilient. You need them to be breathable and comfortable. And you need them to grip, and to protect you on all sorts of different types of terrain.
“The Greenwood is a fully waterproof walking boot designed for the optimum performance on all sorts of underfoot terrain”
The Asolo Greenwood, available in men’s and women’s versions, delivers all of that wrapped up in one neat, aesthetically-pleasing, and very outdoorsy-looking hiking boot. It’s a great bit of kit.
No matter whether you’re scrambling over rocks, struggling over roots or treading over some pebbles as you power through a river, this boot will keep your grip stable as ever and your feet comfortable and dry as you go.
The Greenwood is Gore-Tex’d out to the max, with a breathable waterproof lining which prevents what is a pretty heavy-duty boot from overheating and causing discomfort. The midsole, meanwhile, is EVA double density, which in layman’s terms basically means that you’ll have extra cushioning that’s long lasting, plus shock absorption and protection while you walk.
