John Duncan has blown us away with this short film ‘Ancient Scotland’, part of his aerial film series showcasing Scotland in all its glory.
The footage takes us on a journey through the country’s remote and rugged geology. Each location shot on John’s drone was gifted a 10 second slow-motion clip to capture its beauty, with the finished article leaving you wishing there was an extra 5 seconds more just to take it all in.
Films showing off Scotland’s terrain would not be complete without including the north-west Highlands’ weather beaten granite towers, jagged ridgelines joining Munro summits and coastal sea stacks watching over the Atlantic and this film doesn’t miss out on any of these staple shots. We see Skye, Torridon & St Kilda to name just a few far-flung locations in the 3:41 minute film.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Scotland before then let this video show you exactly what you’ve been missing. We can almost bet the next time you’ve got some time off, you’ll be booking yourself onto the fastest train up to the Highlands.
