Why we chose it: All-in-one design saves faff and is very easy to clean out. Excellent build quality.
As far as we’re concerned, when it comes to enjoying your hot drink of choice outdoors, then the less faff there is, the better. The Microlite Javapress by GSI Outdoors fulfils this requirement in true style. It integrates an easy-to-clean French press into a double-walled stainless steel flask. The ingenious design means that making your tea or coffee and enjoying it whilst on the hill is a painless experience. It is easy to wash up afterwards as well.
Who Is The Microlite Javapress For?
The Microlite Javapress is for anyone who still wants to enjoy their ground coffee or loose leaf tea when they are on the move. Whether you’re taking a backpacking trip, going for a day hike, or just travelling, you will appreciate the solid build quality of this clever little insulated flask, and the fact it requires no extra kit, and so little faff.
Materials and Construction:
The body of the flask itself is made from vacuum insulated double-wall stainless steel, with a durable, powder-coated outer finish that won’t clank around. The base is made with a rubberised, non-slip foot that helps to prevent those heart-wrenching spillages inside the porch of your tent. The lid is built from a sturdy plastic and features a sealable drinking spout. Attached to the lid is an optional gear loop, which allows you to clip the flask securely to your rucksack or belt.
Features
The most ingenious feature of the Microlite Javapress is its lid which features an integrated French press. Rather than being made of several sections that are a nightmare to separate and clean out, this press is simply a clear tube with a filter and rubber seal at one end. To make your drink, you just press the lid down into the flask and can begin drinking through the sealable cap on the lid. When your drink is finished, you just need to remove the tube and give it a quick rinse. The attachment loop on the lid is useful for making sure the flask doesn’t fall out of your bag, or perhaps for clipping it into your climbing harness on those extra long routes.
