The Rohan Ventus waterproof jacket has been a top favourite amongst OM team members in recent months. Just last year, our tester Eilir took it for a thorough spin up his local Welsh mountains and was very impressed with its performance.
Made using Rohan’s proprietary Barricade technology, which delivers a high level of waterproofing and breathability, it’s a 3-layer construction that features an inner liner fabric, a PU membrane and then a durable outer shell. This brings full seam-sealed protection from rain and wind while maintaining the kind of breathability you’d expect from a membrane-lined jacket. Additionally, it has an impressive hydrostatic head rating of 20,000, and a breathability rating of 20,000 (MVTR).
Moving on to design features, the jacket’s adjustable hood offers excellent coverage. It fits snugly around the head with a peaked visor to keep rain off your face, and it’s helmet-compatible for more technical pursuits, like climbing or cycling. The cuffs and hem are also adjustable, helping to seal out the elements.
