Longtime staple for reliable rugged trousers, Swedish gear-gurus Haglöfs are launching a revamped trouser range with a focus on fit and findability. Having noted that many outdoor garments are designed as tweaks of a standard version (almost always based on a male body), Haglöfs have set about redesigning their outdoor trouser range, with a particular effort made to ensure their range properly caters for women.
According to the brand, central to this redesign is the belief that everyone should be able to find their perfect fit and ideal construction of outdoor pant. To achieve this goal, Haglöfs say they have employed a modular design philosophy, simultaneously simplifying and expanding their range to suit every individual’s needs.
First, the types of ‘fit’ have been doubled, giving us the four options of Relaxed, Standard, Slim, and Tight.
Second, Haglöfs have also split their fabric materials into three distinct categories. Buyers can choose between Lite, Mid, and Rugged depending on whether they value flexibility and a light weight or durability and protection.
All the builds are suited to outdoor adventures, and they’re sustainably and responsibly designed; each construction utilises fluorocarbon-free DWR as well as recycled materials.
