In case you haven’t heard, komoot have added a new feature to their app that makes route planning a whole lot easier.

Called Trail View, it uses an AI-powered image recognition technology that identifies user-uploaded photos of trails around the globe. The best of these trail photos are then featured to help users make better-informed decisions as to whether a specific path is suitable for their chosen sport or experience level

OM editor Will recently tested this out for Outdoors Magic by using it to plan out a fastpacking route from one side of the New Forest National Park to the other – and almost entirely on trails.
