About twenty years ago, it’s fair to say women didn’t have the best time of it when it came to the choice of female friendly hiking boots. Thankfully, times have moved on a lot with brands now placing a far greater emphasis on designing women-specific boots. In general, women have narrower heels, slightly lower ankles, and lower foot volume overall. However, this is as stated – a generalisation. The most important thing, as it’s always been, is to find a brand of boot that’s closest to your own foot shape.
The women’s walking boots featured below won’t, in our opinion, leave you feeling disappointed. They’re top of the class for comfort, performance, balance, and, in the majority of cases, style. Not only that, but they’re also lightweight without sacrificing all-important sturdiness. A bad boot can ruin time spent in the outdoors, but with these on the wearer’s feet – that potential issue gets removed from the equation.
