Why We Chose The SIGG #2MinuteBeachClean Water Bottle:
What SIGG doesn’t know about water bottles isn’t worth knowing. Bringing their Swiss quality to proceedings since 1908, SIGG are a brand that really have mastered their respective art. In all honesty, any one of the company’s excellent products could have made the cut but for this year’s Outdoor 100, we decided to plump for their collaborative effort with the #2MinuteBeachClean crew. #2MinuteBeachClean is a cool environmental initiative dedicated to cleaning up our world two minutes at a time.
Who Is The SIGG #2MinuteBeachClean Bottle For?
First and foremost, this water bottle is for active people who want to stay hydrated. Secondly, doing away with single use plastic bottles should be an aim for anyone who claims to care about the environment. Single use plastic bottles end up in landfills or, worse, end up littering our trails and outdoor spaces; something which negatively impacts on any wildlife that lives there. This water bottle can obviously be used over and over again, meaning you don’t ever need to pop into a corner shop and pay well over the odds for a bottle of Evian.
“#2MinuteBeachClean is a cool environmental initiative dedicated to cleaning up our world two minutes at a time”
This seriously tough, leak proof, aluminium water bottle is for people who don’t like being thirsty (does anyone like being thirsty?), people who want to stop using single use plastic bottles, and people who want to support great environmental projects like #2MinuteBeachClean.
Materials
The bottle is made from recyclable aluminium (no single use plastic here). Relatively lightweight, and tough enough to handle being chucked about / battered into rocks and trees, aluminium is a good water bottle material for people who live and breathe adventure. Hot liquids, cold liquids, room-temperature liquids – it’ll handle, within reason, whatever you pour inside it.
Features
Obviously, there’s not a million things to say when it comes to features; a good water bottle is a good water bottle after all. That being said, here’s what you need to know. It’s got a capacity of 0.6L. Not enough storage to sustain you indefinitely of course, but enough to keep you going on day trips and Sunday afternoon walks to the pub.

It also claims to be 100% leak proof which, when you think about it, is pretty much the minimum requirement for a water storage option.
There’s also that nice whale graphic and some #2MinuteBeachClean branding. A great way to show the world that you’re serious about cleaning up the planet.
