When you think of walking boots, I’d bet that you’d usually think of high-cuffed, traditional stiff leather boots – the kind that you’d happily wear out on the trails, but not necessarily back out and about in town afterwards.
But they don’t all have to be like that. Newly launched by Teva is the The Arrowood 2 Mid, a revised, slightly more ‘urban’ inspired boot that arguably looks as at home in the city as it does on the trail.
“Did I mention that these boots are waterproof?”
I must preface this article with the fact that these boots aren’t designed for your hardcore walker in mind. They’re positioned directly towards the typical weekend warrior who’s looking to dabble in a few walking trips now and again, yet not feel a bit out of place wearing full-on hiking boots around town.
Adopting quite an understated (smart) style, the Arrowood 2 features a fully waterproof membrane and a water resistant leather for decent protection in wet weather conditions.
Stepping away from the previously used Vibram outsole, this new iteration of the Arrowwood features Teva’s own brand rubber outsole. This is said to be ‘beefed up’ for more grip and protection across rugged terrain.
Sandwiched between the upper and the outsole is Teva’s own FloatLight midsole, which as the name suggests, offers comfort at marginal weight penalty – we’ve tested tested various iterations of Teva’s sandals that utilises FloatLight technology, so can definitely vouch for its performance.
We’re giving you the chance to grab yourself a free pair of these swanky crossover boots in this week’s round of Free Kit Fridays.
