After a two-year hiatus (because of… you know… ‘The Big C’), the world’s first trail running and music festival, Love Trails, is returning to its home on the Gower Peninsula for four days of human-powered adventures on the south coast of Wales. Previous iterations of the festival saw over 2,000 runners descend on the peninsula, but this year’s event is promising to be bigger than ever.
Love Trails, which kicks off from 30th June and runs until 3rd July, offers a range of guided running or social running events throughout the four-day weekend. There’s the option of 5, 10, 21 and 42 kilometre trail runs available, all along some of the UK’s most striking coastal paths.
Aside from having kilometre after kilometre of world class trail running to get stuck into, Love Trails also offers a range of other activities from breath work on the beach, surfing lessons, sea dips, hiking, adventure films and talks.
No festival is worth its salt without a solid music lineup to decompress – especially after a day running around Gower – and it looks like event founder Theo-Larn-Jones has all the bases covered: “We’ve combined an ambitious & creative run experience programme and a huge music line-up featuring established legends and tastemakers like David Rodigan and exciting new talent including Porij and Adwaith.”
“For four-days, we create an alternative world, filled with adventure, fun, friendship, community and of course trail running adventures of all shapes and sizes. There’s absolutely nothing else like it.”
