You know the countdown to Christmas has begun when the Coca Cola advert appears, and you know that Spring is coming when that first fresh scent hits your nose. The signal for the arrival of autumn? When the new Fjällräven Autumn/Winter collection drops.
That might just be us though...
There's usually some nice kit to see in their collection anyway. Following on from the Spring/Summer launches in the Greenland range earlier this year, which notably included a special 50th anniversary Greenland Jacket, Fjällräven have revealed a number of brand new items, as well as a few updates to old Greenland favourites.
Here are some of the releases that stood out to us...
Greenland Winter Jacket M / Greenland Winter Jacket W
Fjällräven have updated the excellent Greenland Winter Jacket, improving the fit to make it more gender specific and changing the outer fabric to sustainable and durable G-1000 Eco. The charms of the old jacket are all retained though, including that warm and cosy pile lining.
Greenland Down Liner Jacket M / Greenland Down Liner Jacket W
A nice looking lightweight down jacket with some decent efforts towards ethical production shown in its production. Take the ethically sourced down fill for instance, or the PFC-free water repellent treatment. There’s also that G-1000 Eco fabric featured as well.
These jeans will be as at home in the outdoors as they will in the pub, mixing practical features and fabrics with a stylish look and fit. As with a number of the products in the Greenland Range, they are made from Fjӓllrӓven’s G-1000 fabric and it's possible to treat them with Greenland Wax to achieve added water resistance.
Greenland Pile Fleece
One to wear as either an insulating mid layer or for just pulling on to relax in after a long day in the hills, this new fleece features a thick pile lining that should should keep you warm and cosy. It features two hand pockets with concealed buttons, G-1000 Eco reinforcements at the elbows, plus a two-way front zipper.
Greenland Winter Parka W
This is a jacket perfect for autumn strolls. An updated version of the bestselling Greenland Winter Parka from the 70s, it features an improved fit and new detailing but retains all of the much loved features of the previous version, including the durable and protective outer G-1000 Eco fabric, cosy polyester pile lining and a fixed, well-fitting hood.
